Canon EOS 40D - problem with opening file

Hi,

I have problem with opening this file by LibRaw:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6ENEUKTZp-LNm8tT0ZyV052QTQ

LibRaw::open_file() returns for it LIBRAW_FILE_UNSUPPORTED. Both FastRawViewer and RawTherapee cannot open it.
Will this file be supported by LibRaw?

Thank you,
Konrad

The file you've shared is

The file you've shared is only 772415 bytes size (unless I downloaded it wrong, please check too).

The original RAW_CANON_40D_SRAW_V103.CR2 from Rawsamples.ch (same preview, so I'm sure it is the same file) is 6800865 bytes.

Looks like your sample is truncated.,

Thank you for the answer.

Thank you for the answer.
The size of the photo is correct - it has low resolution. I found that FastStone Image Viewer and IrfanView can open this file. Why LibRaw cannot do it?

Konrad

Both FastStone and IrfanView

Both FastStone and IrfanView shows embedded JPEG file. This part of image is correct.

Meanwhile, the file is exactly the same in contents (of JPEG preview) as file at rawsamples.ch. Why do you think this file is correct?

metadata for this file shows:
raw data offset: 531196
raw data size: 944784

Looks strange for file only 700kb in size, so I'm sure the file was truncated.

To be precise, this is data

To be precise, this is data for last (largest) preview, which is incomplete too.

raw section is completely not present in file (because of truncation)
